Start with the tip!
Dab the brush on lashes, wiggle it, and then slowly comb it through. You get lots of formula where it’s needed at the base and the excess is combed through to the ends. If you don’t already do this, you’ll be shocked by the difference it makes
Coat both sides of your lashes
To make sure your lashes are fully covered and appear much thicker, coat both sides by alternating between looking up and looking down while applying mascara. This works better if you have thin or light-colored lashes
Hold the brush at a horizontal angle
If you want thick lashes, or turn it vertically for a more natural finish. Holding the brush horizontally and wiggling it back and forth will give you voluminous lashes, while holding it vertically and running the tip of the brush along the length of your lashes will leave you with a longer, more natural look.
Position the brush at 45 degrees when applying your lower lashes
Since the lower lash line is more delicate, position the wand at a 45-degree angle. She paints from the top to avoid clogging the lash line with too much color and weighing it down.
Don’t pump the blush in and out of the bottle.
This is one of the most common makeup mistakes women make. This pushes air into the tube which will make the mascara dry out faster causing clumping and flaking. Instead, gently twist the back and forth or in circular motions to pick up the desired amount of product.
Hold a spoon underneath your eye
Hold a spoon underneath your eye to avoid getting marks on your skin. Here’s how, place a spoon below your eye with the curved side facing out, and then apply your mascara like you normally would to your lower lashes. The mascara will land on the back of the spoon not on your skin.
