How to Remove Your Mascara without Damaging Your Eye Lashes

Are you frustrated when your eyelashes fall out or worse get damaged every time you remove your mascara? Removing mascara especially waterproof mascara like our 300X mascara is really challenging as it may affect your lashes and the super delicate skin around eyes. But don’t worry there are ways you can easily and safely remove your mascara without damaging your eye lashes or skin.

Try these methods if you want to know how to remove your mascara without damaging your eye lashes

Mascara Remover

There are makeup removers available on the market that are especially made to remove mascara, but be sure you use one that is gentle on skin and dermatologist recommended. No remover on hand? No worries you can try these other methods.

Baby Oil

Baby oil is one of the most common and cheapest eye makeup removers. Although it can really clean your eyelashes thoroughly, you need to be careful with baby oil because it can hamper the eyes as it has petroleum in it. And prolonged use of baby oil can make your skin look sluggish, so we don’t recommend always using this method but it works when you’re in a pinch.

Facial Cleanser

The easiest way to remove waterproof mascara is with a good gentle facial cleanser. Never rub harshly, but instead gently massage the cleanser in a circular motion over your eyes and lashes. Rinse well to make sure the cleanser does not go inside your eyes as this would obviously be painful and could cause irritation. If you have very sensitive skin or eyes, this method is not for you, try this below.

Baby shampoo

So you have sensitive eyes? Try washing your eyes and lashes with a baby shampoo. You may have probably heard how baby shampoo can effectively remove eye makeup without hurting your eyes. This is because most all baby shampoos have no-tear formula so they are safe and do not hurt your eyes while cleaning your lashes thoroughly.

Coconut Oil

You can effortlessly take off your waterproof mascara and other eye makeup by dabbing coconut oil on a cotton ball and gently sweep it over your eyes. When using coconut oil to remove mascara, apply it to a cotton pad and hold it over the lashes for a few seconds to give the oil time to break down the mascara. Later on wash your face with warm water.

Whatever method you choose to remove your mascara, be sure to apply eye cream or moisturizer to keep your eye area looking fresh and gorgeous.
