Ways to Prevent Lash Fall Out

There are many reasons your eyelashes fall out; some of them natural, a lot of them prevantable. If you’re frustrated with your lash fall out, remember these simple ways to prevent lash fall out

Remove makeup thoroughly and gently.

It is always important to take your makeup off before going to bed. Your lashes, just any part of the body, need to rest and breathe as well. Sleeping with mascara on will lead to breakage. So before dozing off, be sure to wash your face thoroughly. Waterproof mascara is not easy to remove, so use a gentle eye make-up removal.

Avoid over exposing your lashes to sunlight

Like your eyes, lashes need protection from the sun. Lashes can also suffer from the sun’s harsh rays and most importantly, radiation. Use sunglasses when it is extremely hot out can be beneficial to your lashes.

Choose your mascara carefully

All mascaras are not created equal. Keep mind that type of mascara you use has a direct effect on the condition of your lashes. Often, waterproof mascaras are very difficult to remove and result in pulling of the eye area. And some mascara contains harmful chemicals. This leads to further breakage. Instead, use a water-soluble mascara on a regular basis.

Don’t curl your lashes prior to applying mascara

Some women are guilty of curling their eyelashes after applying mascara because they like the results. However, doing this can result in breakage, because mascara causes your eyelashes to feel dry. When you curl dry lashes, your lashes become susceptible to breakage.

Don’t use eyelash curlers too often

Eyelash curlers are great makeup tools! However, when people use eyelash curlers, they are often tugging at their eyelashes, which can cause damage and cause them to fall out. One more fact about eyelash curlers is it can be a breeding ground for bacteria, that can cause infection. So keep in mind to clean and replace the eyelash curler pads often.
