Layer with eyeshadow

Avoid smudging and keep your eyeliner throughout the day, by layering your eyeliner with an eyeshadow that matches it. Use small angled brush to go over your liner with a matching eyeshadow. It not only holds the eyeliner in place, but also makes the color pop and look more defined due to the additional layer of pigmentation.

Use A Business Card

Create a straight line by using a business card. Simply press the card down from the corner of your eye pointing outward to the end of your brow and trace your liner along the edge. This will save you a lot of time.

Start on the Outside

Achieve a cohesive line naturally, start at the outer corner of your eye and work your way in. “Create the shape that you want your liner to go instead of just winging it, so you can visualize the way you want your liner to look at the very start—winged, thick, or super-fine.

Tilt your chin up slightly.

Be sure to tilt your chin up slightly when applying your eyeliner. Look down into the mirror so you’re eyes are halfway closed.  Applying eyeliner on this angle helps prevent liner from smearing all over your lid and looking uneven once it’s on.

Liquid eyeliner can last longer than pencil. But applying liquid eyeliner or have a shaky hand can be tricky. What you can do is line your eyes with a pencil eyeliner first then trace over it with liquid.

Hold your eyeliner near the end

We tend to hold the eyeliner near the tip but holding it near its end will make a lot of difference. Holding the eyeliner further up puts too much pressure on the tip, which can make the liner jagged. Try holding it near the end and you will see the difference.
